What infrastructure services are available to me?

The models outlined below provide your organization with all of the elements required to configure, test and install a complete network infrastructure to support your business. Should your needs differ from the services presented below, we'll be happy to work with you to satisfy your requirements.

Project Management

Our project management services are available for large and small deployment projects.  We ensure your success by assigning experienced project managers to assist in both the initial planning and deployment phases.

A project begins with a Digital Business Option’s project manager developing the initial project plan, which includes:

  • Meeting with the customer to establish the   requirements of the project
  • Establishing a project team based on the requirements
  • Identifying the project tasks and assigning the required resources
  • Develop, maintain and publish project plans, tasks, escalation processes, and contact lists

Project implementation includes:

  • Coordinate project resources, installation and equipment delivery schedules
  • Develop contingency plans as deemed prudent to ensure the success of the project
  • Provide the customer with project status reports
 

Site Survey

Whether a customer is adding a new facility or updating from an older technology, detailed documentation of the existing and proposed networks is an essential element to a successful implementation.

Our network engineers will work with you to conduct a comprehensive site survey.  The site survey provides a solid foundation required to develop a network infrastructure and deployment plan that satisfies your requirements.  Our engineers will:

  • Document your companies current network infrastructure

  • Document requirements and alternatives in preparation for the new installation

  • Identify whether the requirements are being met

This ensures that your users will have a seamless transition to the new infrastructure.

Equipment Procurement

A key component to the success of the project lies in the ability to have all of the required equipment available per the time schedule outlined in the project plan and to remain within the constraints of the budget.

Digital Business Option’s procurement service ensures that the correct equipment is ordered and received in a timely manner by centralizing and staging the equipment prior to implementing the solution at your site.

Equipment procurement services include equipment ordering, scheduling, receiving, staging, shipping, and handling.

The project manager monitors the procurement process and responds to production scheduling issues ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner to save time and money while ensuring that the project is a success.

Network and Server Infrastructure

Digital Business Option's Engineers will meet with you to determine the scope of the project regarding your network and server requirements.

A proposal will be developed and presented to you for your review and approval.

A project plan will be developed reflecting all of the tasks, responsible parties, and completion dates. When you have approved of the plan, our technicians will configure all networking and server components and stage them in our lab.  We will then implement the fully functional infrastructure to support your business.

Infrastructure services include:

  • Design your network to maximize throughput to meet the demands of your applications
  • Define your firewall requirements to protect your network and servers
  • Manage the installation of the required circuit(s) including those that provide access to the Internet via T-1, DSL, Cable or dial-up access
  • Configure, stage and install firewalls, routers, switches, bridges, hubs and wireless access points per your network design specifications
  • Establish Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) that permit secured access to your networked resources via an Internet connection between two or more branch offices or between your office and your remote location (i.e. your home, or hotel when you are on the road)
  • Establish server security policies that will dictate the file system and directory structures that will maintain all of your organization’s files in a manner that abides by the established security policy
  • Configure, stage and install servers responsible for authentication, file and print services, DNS, WINS, NTP, FTP, Internet and Intranet servers etc.

Staging and System Integration

Digital Business Option’s staging facility ensures that all components are available, configured and tested with a system configuration replicating your site prior to the on-site installation and turn-up.  Our staging and system integration service along with a Site-Survey provides a turnkey network implementation solution that ensures a one-site-visit system installation.

We simulate the customer’s network infrastructure to ensure interoperability and performance.

Our staging procedure includes:

  • Receiving the equipment required for a complete site configuration
  • Unpacking the equipment and inspecting for damaged or missing items
  • Assembling equipment and cabling per the site-design specification
  • Powering up to execute self-test diagnostics
  • Processing return materials authorizations (RMAs) for failed components
  • Loading configuration data and options per customer site specifications 
  • Testing the operation of the fully configured system and applications
  • Documenting information, such as make, model, serial numbers, and shipping information
  • Tagging capital assets (optional)
  • Shipping of equipment to allocated site

On-Site Installation

Digital Business Options delivers quality on-time installation services for business and home office environments utilizing its network of Service Engineers.  These Service Engineers are trained and certified by Digital Business Options to deliver onsite services for the products that we install.

On-Site Maintenance Service

Digital Business Options offers several maintenance programs to meet our customer’s requirements.

Parts and Labor Program:

  • On-site delivery of spares supplied by DBOpt
  • On-site support with a variety of guaranteed response times.  These programs can be tailored to suit your needs. 
  • Backups of your network component’s configuration files.  These files are used to replace a network device with its last known configuration to ensure interoperability with the infrastructure when the device is replaced.

Flexible Customer Maintained Programs:

  • Technical product training for your staff
  • On-site delivery of spares - supplied by customer or Digital Business Options
  • Chose of a variety of levels of remote technical assistance to suit your business needs

Contracted Labor Program:

  • Contracted labor only program that provides guaranteed onsite response.  This program can be tailored to suit your needs. 

Time and Material Program:

  • In addition to these contracted programs, customers may also purchase time and material services.
